Greetings to Everyone,
As much as we all are part of one of the most optimistic, forward-looking groups that ever worked together on a Fighter Weapons System, reality is that it is now 37 years since we prepared for the first flight of the F-15 Eagle. To put it briefly, many of us wanted to see each other more often than every five years, so it has been determined by the Executive Board that we will have our next gathering next year in 2010.
While in the past we have tried to follow the trends we set long ago, many complications have developed over time that have made preparation for our gatherings harder to accomplish and harder for people to attend. After several months of fact finding, the Executive Board has determined that we will have a change of venue from the Holiday Inn to the Hope Hotel. There are several advantages to this approach. Above all, the ability to see friends is more important than the venue. And we will not have to travel everywhere to enjoy ourselves.
The facilities at the Hope Hotel allow us to have a Hospitality Suite for the whole time, a location for the Thursday get-together/Ice Breaker reception; Friday Charity Games and Buffet - perhaps not exactly like the old Monte Carlo nights, but building from the Texas Hold 'Em Poker with other games with much of the proceeds going to charity; a Saturday evening Banquet dinner; and Sunday Farewell Brunch.
Since the Hope Hotel sits
right next to the Main Gate at Area A, there is also easy access for
those interested in the O'Club, and Chapels; and, with any luck, a real
life dedicated F-15 aerial performance (Saturday afternoon). And just
out and to the right on 444, we plan to have a Balmy Open on Friday
morning until complete.
The Hope Hotel has a block of rooms on hold for us; if we act early,
it should be possible to increase the number. Currently the rate is
$70 per night plus tax. Confirmation of the rate is in progress. Please

planning and pricing of events.
